Frictional Games has launched the official website for Amnesia: The Dark Descent, the upcoming survival/horror game for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The upcoming game from the creators of the Penumbra series is described as a title which will take players on a 'thrill-ride through the depths of madness and explore the dark side of human emotions.' It follows the tale of a protagonist on the run from a horrifying foe.

Graphics Compatibility App Available! Please Test!
Below in the this post is a link to graphics compatibility test, which is basically just a little app that test so your system can run the graphics for Amnesia. It will help us see what cards the final the game will support and also allow us to fix any problems before the game is released. Because of this we would like as many as possible to run the test and see so it works.

Our estimated minimum requirements are Radeon 9600/GeForce 6000. Hopefully this test will give us more exact data.

Note: after running the program, all renderings have been made as screenshots and put in the "output" folder. So no need to compare while running, just check the screenshots afterwards!

Before running, make sure you have updated drivers! And to run the app simply unpack the zip-file somewhere and run "RendererFeatTest.exe". It will run and exit by itself.

After running, check the the how-it-should-be-images against the ones in the "output" directory and then do one the following:

- If everything works, then just post a reply in this thread and say what graphics card and os version you have.

- If you run into any problems, then zip/rar the "output" folder and post a reply telling what the problem was and attach the compressed output. If you get a crash and use Win32 also save the log from the blackbox window that should pop-up and attach that too. Also state what graphics card and os version you have.

That's it! And remember that the more who test this, the less problems there will be on release.

Si atasata imaginea de referinta, daca programul scuipa imagini diferite in folderul output e o problema undeva care trebuie raportata la ei.

Crezi ca exista vreo sansa sa iau din afara versiunea boxed al jocului cu limba engleza si fara costuri prea mari?! Sunt fan al celor de la Frictional Games ... Digital nu cumpar pt ca daca tot cumpar un joc imi place sa il am in maini ...

Poti lua versiunea boxed dar numai in rusa. Nu o sa o gasesti in engleza, cel putin pentru moment.

Prostie de joc. Cheap thrills, frica de intuneric, give me a break. Daca stai prea mult in intuneric o iei razna, wow ce mecanism complex...not

Undying, Thief, VTMB, sint jocuri mult, mult mai bune care creeaza atmosfera horror fara sa apeleze la trucuri ieftine.

OK daca nu e pe gustul inteleg dar asta nu inseamna ca e un joc prost... din punctul meu de vedere jocurile proaste sunt jocurile astea cu bugete mari care se scot pe banda rulanta fara sa aiba nimic original in ele...
Penumbra este un joc original orice ai zice... daca zici ca nu e, te rog sa imi arati alt joc asemanator lui...
Singurul joc care are cateva elemente comune dar nu se aseamana deloc e Call of Ctulhu
