Well, Mass Effect 2 e programat pentru Q1 2010. Asa ca nu are sanse sa apara anul acesta.

Sper ca nu se repeta povestea, si iara trebuie sa asteptam versiunea de PC ...

Pai din cate se pare, vor sa se concentreze pe partea de actiune mai mult decat pe poveste, ceea ce mi se pare o tampenie. Nu vrem un FPS cu elemente de RPG, ci vrem un RPG in adevaratul sens al cuvantului. FPS-uri sunt destule in ziua de azi.

BioWare spoke a bit about the next Mass Effect DLC in a documentary included with Mass Effect Platinum Hits edition (launched recently). "We had something in Mass Effect 1 which we didn't have the time and we didn't think we would do well enough, which is a fight club arena," says lead designer Preston Watamaniuk in the video. Project director Casey Hudson added: "We wanted to be able to give people a much more combat-oriented, lighter-story kind of experience. You're going to go to kind of a casino, gaming, fight club space station."

"Any save game that you make from Mass Effect 1, you should be able to carry that same character into Mass Effect 2," explains Hudson. Originally stated to perhaps release on XBox 360 first as a brief exclusive, though EA's recent press release suggests simultaneous launch in early 2010.

Platforms:

XBox 360 and PC

A PS3 version has not been confirmed by anybody yet. With the game being a trilogy, it would make little sense for there to be a version if this unless a conversion of the first were to be made first.

Other:

Is a single-player RPG. No multiplayer present.

Saved games carry over from the original Mass Effect game, with decisions you made from the first game effecting what happens in the second.

You will play as Commander Shepard again. The trilogy is "Shepard's Story" after all.

Characters and locations from the novel Mass Effect Ascension will be in Mass Effect 2. Who and where is so far unknown.

Party members/squad mates from the first game will be appearing in the second. Which ones and whether they return as squadmates has not been revealed yet.

Confirmed characters returning:- Shepard (duh!), Captain Anderson, Ambassador Udina.

Will be a much darker story than ME1, likely in similar vein to The Empire Strikes Back, as far as tone goes.

Story has a lot of twists and turns. A lot of looking for answers to questions. A lot of the unexpected.

The story will also look into subjects such as the differences, similarities and comparisons of organic life vs. synthetic life.

Will be a likely 2-disc game, considering ME1 filled up the disc.

A great deal of content in the sequel is made up of variations based on the decisions from the first game, giving the game a richer and deeper experience and more variety for multiple playthroughs. This includes things such as characters who could have died appearing or not appearing depending on your decisions.

Prima carte Mass Effect:Revelations avea o incheiere foarte clara cu ce se v-a intampla in joc. Era clar specificat Saren si Sovereign : "And Sovereign was the key to it all." .....

Cea de-a 2-a carte, Mass Effect:Ascension poate sa deschida cel putin 3 povesti principale :
1. Quarrians + fetita biotica se duc sa mai caute un reaper, care sa ii ajute sa ii extermine sau sa ii controleze pe geth. Quarrians sunt pe moarte si isi vor lumea inapoi.
2. Cerberus - e greu ca sa il consideri ca si un mai story dar ma rog. Baietii astia au inclinatii rasiale, as in human race above all, si au o organizatie foarte puternica.
3. collectors - este preferata mea, vreau o bataie intre citadel si collectors . Daca nu se poate o bataie , cel putin sa ii includa in story.

In concluzie, eu unu nu vreau un story vs reapers , cel putin nu in ME2, poate in ME3 ar merge asa de incheiere. In rest sper sa dezvolte mai mult universu ME , sa poti interactiona mai mult cu restu raselor, galaxiei etc.

In ceea ce priveste lansarea, pe forums la bioware, se speculeaza data de 11 aprilie 2010 aka ziua de nastere a lu shepard , ma rog ideea e sustinuta de fan boys ofcourse. Ah da tot pe forums la bioware am vazut ca baietii de la EA au imprumutat ceva office-uri celor de la bioware din 03.03 pentru un team initial de 30 de oameni special creat pentru ME2, asta pe langa cei care au lucrat la ME1 de la bioware.

Pai daca se trezesc reaperii s-a terminat cu toata civilizatia. In Mass Effect era de-abia unul si aproape ca a distrus citadela. Eu ma gandesc la ceva manipulare, spalari pe creier a reaperilor si folosirea lor pentru alte scopuri. Shepard a spus la sfarsit ca pleaca sa gaseasca ceilalti reaperi (care inca n-au fost treziti) deci sigur se va invarti in jurul acestei intrigi.
