uite ce face paranoia din om:
- la fiecare logare pe battlefields sau world fac urmatoarea chestie:

del *.* C:\Windows\Cookies\ (except index.dat)
del *.* C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\ (except index.dat si desktop.ini)

recomand un shell de dos pentru stergerea astora, caci windoze e smecher si nu te lasa sa stergi tot. (vezi NC, Dos Navigator, linia de comanda (care mai tineti minte) )
Cu alte cuvinte, sterg cookiuri-le si orice altceva ce ar putea sa le aprinda alora beculetzele cum ca de pe masina mea se logheaza 2 conturi. Succes ! si nu, win.com nu trebuie sters... doar mutat in recycle bin.

breh, poate la promisance faceau aia misto de voi... la utopia poti sa ai mai multe conturi pe acelasi IP. Nu vor fi sterse decat in caz de similitudini la username/userinfo sau timpi de logare asemanatori etc... si cookies.

Let's assume that the Apache webserver that they are using here logs IPs (which is somewhat unlikely in today's internet environment but we'll go with it) We already know that they use the response object to put a cookie with all of your login information back on your drive so they can retrieve it for different pages...and I know that the default value for the session object is 900 seconds (15 mins).

So....knowing all of this you could get around it by logging off of Utopia, deleting all of your cache, and the cookies. This clears out any trace that you have from logging in from your machine. Now the trickier part is the session object and the IP logging that is done by Apache.

The session object is easy...either wait more then 15 mins after leaving utopia to log back in or open a new browser while the old one is still open then kill that original browser. This will give you a new PID for the browser so it will force it to start a new session when you log in.

Now to get around the IP logging feature that Apache would have is fairly simple too. If you are using a dial up connection you can hangup and redial in...but that is a pain in the behind so for Win 9X you would go to your start button then run and type winipcfg. A new window will open up with your MAC address, your IP address as well as some other things. on the bottom of this there is some buttons...one of them being renewall. This will get you a new IP from your ISP.

Now if you are using WinNT or Win2000 then you would go to a dos prompt and type ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew which will give you a new IP address.

Finally if you are using Win ME then you would go to the dos prompt and type ipconfig /renew_all.

The only way left that they could trace you is with the login name that you use when you logged into your computer. The cookie would be stored as username@swirve.com or some derivative there of...so to be truly safe you should log of your computer and back on again as another user. But there is an extremely slim chance of getting caught that way. I know that with IIS 4 and IIS 5 that I use on our servers at work it's not worth the hassle to parse through the cookies that way to find out if 2 people have the same login name on their computer. To do it on a site that gets 1000 hits a day would take about 5 to 10 minutes per day...so the time needed to do it definitely outweighs the chance of finding valid results.
