chiar nu stiu. tot ce observ e ca ai impresia mereu ca se ia cineva de asus. mie mi se pare ca renumele asus (sunt actual proprietar) e mult prea mare pentru a-l mai putea pune cineva la indoiala. ca mai apare cate o mica problema pe ici-pe colo, e irelevant, importanta e imaginea de ansamblu si anume ca asus are placi foarte bune. plus ca daca asus e pus la indoiala atunci ce sa mai zicem de firmele mici?

corect era o comparatie cu placi de baza care au aceleasi specificatii si functioneaza cu DDR2 ambele,

Oricum nu e nici un secret ca Asus are preturi putin mai mari la gama high-end,iar Abit si Gigabyte le pun mai jos putin.
Comparatiile le fac cu preturile de afara,intrucat la noi acestea apar mai tarziu si sunt "mincinoase"(nejustificat de mari la unele modele,asa cum ai zis si tu).
Ca sa vorbim de preturi,Asus P5E (pe moment cea mai ieftina Asus X38 DDR2,entry-level) costa 250$ .
Asus Maximus Formula costa 280 $.
abit IX38 QuadGT se compara ca dotari cu ultima,cu acel Maximus,dar la pret va fi (e optiunea producatorului) ca Asus P5E.
Va rog,sa ne mentinem ontopic,e foarte bine ca veniti cu linkuri de pret,imi plac discutiile argumentate ,iar de Asus nu mai vorbesc(prea mult) il las pe red-dog.

Din pacate,testele nu sunt cu Ati Catalyst 7.10,care intr-adevar da FPS-urilor un boost major si aduce un plus de calitate imaginii.
Asa ca puteti citi mai multe intrebari decat raspunsuri certe...

This board can also into OS on 560MHz setting,
But it’s almost the CPU frequency top limited.

S-a folosit o sursa Corsair HX620W ,asa ca atentie la ce surse puneti pe ea,pentru ca sunt ceva probleme.Dotarile si pretul cred ca scuza unele probleme,in caz ca apar.

Pros:
1.Retail price about 139USD, depends on different regional.
2.Full solid capacitors, all made in Japan.
3.Only reduce few heatpipe design, total functions very close to Platinum/Diamond segment.
4.CPU FSB overclock ability can catch up other competitors, the DRAM overclock ability is also good.
5.This heatpipe design did have better efficiency, the work temperature is lower then others.
Cons:
1.Other DRAM multiplier overclock ability could be improved.
2.BIOS options could design under voltage for CPU
3.Same boot-up screen already use 2 years, needs to be refreshed.

Asa tarziu s-au gasit si astia sa faca review la msi neo2 ....

Chipsetul X48,care va apare anul viitor,va avea doar suport DDR3,iar la FSB 1600 MHz (pentru care Intel a si pregatit Yorkfield Xtreme Edition QX9770,1600 MHz PSB,Q1 2008 available,price 1399$).
De asemenea,dimm-urile DDR3 1600 MHz vor putea ocupa doar 2 sloturi ,cu voltaj 1.8V si vor beneficia de technologia Xtreme Memory Profile(XMP),pusa la punct de Intel impreuna cu producatorii de memorii si destinata OC-ului.
No big deal fata de X38.

Nu se zvoneste,e sigur.Pentru Nehalem sunt chiar 2 socketuri(@vrz).Care vor apare la noi(ma refer la mobo+proc) cam prin 2009,atunci cand DDR3 va fi mai ieftin decat DDR2.Pretul noilor mobo si procuri,atunci,va fi insa pe masura...

Intel is going to implement 2 new sockets for the next generation Nehalem architecture in 2008 and they are Socket B and Socket H.
As we know, Nehalem is 45nm based and we are going to see some exciting changes such as IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) and CSI. Socket B will be LGA1366 and Socket H will be LGA715. The reason why Socket B has so many more contact pads is pretty obvious. It is due to the IMC on the Nehalem CPU. Since there is a Socket H version as well, we can expect there will be another Nehalem based CPUs without IMC.

De ce sa te plictiseasca,socket T (LGA 775) va avea aproape 5 ani (2004-2009) cu 3 generatii de procesoare (90nm,65nm,45nm).Practic insa oricine a fost nevoit sa schimbe/upgrade macar o data mobo in acesti ani.

the result is an exceptionally stable motherboard, full of useful features, along with being one of the most consistent performing products we have tested recently.

Not all is perfect, however; we still need to nag about the Vdroop exceeding that of other board manufacturers when overclocking quad cores, but how much that really matters is clearly debatable depending upon your overclocking objectives. We are still not pleased with overclocking when utilizing 4GB of memory and exceeding DDR2-1100 speeds.

Overall, the positives of the board greatly outweigh the negatives, and while we have expressed these concerns to abit, the IP35-Pro remains one of our favorite P35 boards.

Intr-adevar,Varzmaster,un review bine facut...
Apropo de acest abit IP35 Snake,exista doua revizii:1.10 si 1.00.Ramane de vazut(in reviewuri) ce imbunatatiri aduce mai nou ultima revizie(1.10),cei de la AT folosind-o tot pe cea mai veche,dar cu ultimul BIOS,BETA 16.

MSI dezamageste pe X38,dar poate fi tot chestie de BIOS...

Iar daca aveti incompatibilitati cu sursele Corsair,abit & Corsair au decis sa aiba un thread comun(pot fi si alti producatori de placi de baza cu aceeasi situatie,n-am cautat).O initiativa Corsair laudabila.

Speedster dispune de 5 Phase digital PWM,in rest se pare aceleasi calitati ca la Snake IP35 Pro,uGuru,BIOS f.dotat,consum redus,etc.
Pana una alta doar ce iese din cutie si sta ceva mai bine ca Maximus...

I was going to go to bed, and I thought I would try 500FSB, sure enough it booted to windows.
This is interesting, because no matter what I did, I could not get the Maximus past 490FSB regardless of voltage, and here we have the QuadGT with the shipping BIOS, hitting 500FSB with relative ease.

Comparativul e interesant,intrucat se vede ca P35 overclockeaza mai bine C2D-urile decat P965 si astfel cu variante de buget se obtin rezultate remarcabile in OC.
Iar varianta castrata a MSI 35 Platinum nu impresioneaza cu nimic,in vreme ce IP35-E si P5K au rezultatele cele mai bune.
