De fapt expirarea NDA-ului a fost in 21 Mai. Lansarea oficiala va fi in 4 Iunie. Acuma faptul ca placile sunt gata de mult iar unii nu au mai avut rabdare si au inceput sa le vanda e partea a 2-a.


Anyway, o mare dezamagire pentru mine a fost faptul ca dupa ce toata lumea zicea ca P35 ar fi fabricat pe 65nm si ar fi mult mai rece decat P965, azi am aflat ca de fapt nu e deloc asa. Este fabricat tot pe 90nm si consuma mai mult decat 650i !?! Se pare ca singurul lucru cu adevarat grozav la el este usurinta cu care se duce cu Quad-Core la >450MHz.

The Blitz Extreme board features a Fusion Block System that allows a combination of watercooling with heatpipes to cool down the VRM, NB and SB. There is an interesting Crosslinx Technology that allows x8/x8 equal PCIe lanes on P35 chipset to remove x16/x4 bottlenecks for better graphics performance. We heard that it is pretty challenging to implement this technology as circuitry needs to be re-routed and additional components have to be added to ensure signal integrity. ASUS has also step up to 2-phase power for memory which suppose to enhance memory overclockability. The boards come with free STALKER and 3DMark2006 Advanced Edition too.

With support for DDR3 memory and the next generation of FSB1333 Intel Core 2 processors,...the P35 Express is designed to replace Intel's legendary-overclocking P965 mainstream part.
Driving Intel's latest technology "downward" into the mainstream is support for only a single PCI-Express graphic card at full x16 bus width and official DDR3 memory support extending only to 1066 MHz data rate. As a mainstream part, the P35 Express officially supports a single graphics card and memory speeds up to DDR3-1066. Adding a second graphics card slot or DDR3-1333 RAM compatibility are features Intel left to the discretion of motherboard producers.

...it is only a five phase design, compared to DFI's eight phase using the same second generation digital PWMs...
Some may be disappointed to find out the new MAX board shuns the chipset transversing heatpipes present on the nForce 680i SLI board and has an actively cooled northbridge instead. Abit claims that the cutting edge overclockers are less concerned with noise and more with performance anyway, and will likely change the northbridge cooler.

Pe o Gigabyte GA-P35T-DQ6,expertul in OC Coolaler a stabilit acum 2 zile un record la Computex
5.44GHz liquid nitrogen cooled Core 2 Duo E6850!(@neoseeker)

Coolaler used an E6850 on a Gigabyte GA-P35T-DQ6 and some new Corsair DDR3 memory to reach a 605MHz FSB with a 9x multiplier and a memory speed of 1500MHz. He reached 5.44GHz, slightly under his previous record, but even though he did not beat his record, he managed to get some amazing results.

He used a pair of Gigabyte Radeon HD 2900 XT video boards in a crossfire configuration and got a 3DMark01 system score of 86000 and also completed the SuperPI benchmark in 9.6 seconds.
