Looking at the program[uGuru] as a whole it is an amazing piece of software.
You are given full control over all voltages, fan headers and clockspeeds all from one program with the ability to create profiles accordingly. In the BIOS we find a good spread of available voltages...
Also an interesting point to note is that the 12v 4/8pin connector for the PWM and the 12v line for the 24pin connector are now independently monitored in uGuru, useful if you want to see if your PSU supply for the cpu is drooping badly under load.

No doubt many of you will have read other reviews of this board and seem impressive FSB speeds such as 550+ being achieved. Unfortunately I cannot boast the same sort of results as it would appear the X6800 I have is somewhat FSB limited, peaking at 510MHz.

Apart from the problems with the disappearing CD drive and the Cellshock incompatibility
I have been impressed with the performance,stability and features of the board.

Intel Prepares X38 Express Launch(@DailyTech)

Intel officially set its performance embargo on its upcoming X38 Express chipset for September 23.
Motherboards based on the X38 Express chipset should show up in retail in early September, according to motherboard vendors.

Le X38 en septembre avec du SLI

Intel X38 will support SLI via additional southbridge in the manner of the nForce 100 on notebooks (see this French news).
Remain to know if X38 of Intel will support SLI in 16x mode or only 8x mode...
In the first case, it will remain no big deal for the nForce 680i SLI of NVIDIA on the high-end segment.

Overclocking E6750 with Abit IP35 Snake (@OverclockersClub)

When pushed, it just kept going and going. I was finally able to top out at around 4.1GHz with this chip (bench stable).
While bench stable is nice for the guys chasing world records, that’s not my game...

...blue screens and reboots in the middle of my favorite games that drives me insane.

Now the results you get from any CPU will vary depending on any number of variables, but the maximum (24/7) stable clock speed I could achieve was 3.960GHz.
This is well over the best performing E6600 I have had by a wide margin, and I feel there is more performance left on the table.
But for now, who wouldn’t be happy with a CPU that runs this speed 24/7 at reasonable volts (1.565 set in BIOS)?

m-am uitat si eu la review-ul asta. dragut, mi-au placut asus-ul si abit-ul ieftine. chiar merita una. ma cam oftica ca nu au raid, dar oricand cand o sa trec la alta plca de baza imi pierd ce am acuma pe raid si oricum, foarte posibil nu mai fac raid ca e un fel de moft.

Gigabyte P35-S3L & Core 2 Duo E6420 (@Legion Hardware)

When working at 3.46GHz the vcore had to be increased to 1.38750v and the memory voltage needed to be increased to 1.95v as the Corsair DDR2-667 ValueSelect memory was now working at 866MHz.
No other voltage alterations were made to achieve a stable 3.46GHz overclock on the Gigabyte P35-S3L using our Core 2 Duo E6420 processor.

Making life easier is the P35 chipset, which also requires no voltage adjustments when overclocking, at least not for these kinds of overclocks.
Even when running on a 433MHz FSB the chipset was happy to work with standard voltages, which also meant that it operated within reasonable temperatures.

Rezultatele sunt f bune pt o placa undeva la 100$(printre cele mai ieftine P35)...

Biostar's TP35D2-A7 and TP35D3-A7 Deluxe motherboards(@TechReport)

The D3 Deluxe isn't a bad board. On the whole, it's every bit as fast as other P35-based motherboards, and it doesn't suffer from the pokey networking performance that plagues the D2.
But it needs to be much more than just competent to become an attractive alternative to other mid-range enthusiast boards, and it doesn't even have feature parity on its side.

Poate trebuia sa pun poza(am pus-o acum) si in load unde diferenta intre Abit IP35 Pro si Asus P5K3 Deluxe e "doar" de 22% si unde Abit are dealtfel cel mai mic consum dintre toate placile...daca adaugam asta si la sistemul de racire,unul f bun chiar si pe Abit IP35-E (mai sus reviewul de pe TechSpot)...

For this model, Abit has just gone with three individual blue anodized aluminium heatsinks that are not connected in anyway.
Again for a $120 motherboard the cooling design certainly exceeded all our expectations.

vedem ca Abit a facut treaba buna cu modelele sale...cel putin pe acest aspect unde Asus (cu DDR3 sau fara) e in suferinta.

Both the P5K Deluxe and P5K Premium stopped abruptly at 495MHz with some voltage options to spare.
Anything between 496MHz and 499MHz would cause the system to not POST sometimes..

ASUS claimed lower operating temperatures, so we took a QX6700 lying around and clocked it up to 3.33GHz for a quick test by loading all the cores at 100%. After running for 15 minutes, the PWM area of the P5K Deluxe was not at all safe to touch...
Trying the same test on the P5K Premium returned better results. The PWM area was still hot, but it is noticeable that it is cooler than the P5K Deluxe.

Décu , c'est le premier mot qui me vient. Car cette DFI a quelques soucis pour l'overclocking de la mémoire et cela quelques soit le ratio.

Ces défauts sont quand même tres contestable : overclocking limité de la ram , un vdroop présent (quad) , un sifflement avec le cpu en charge , obligé de faire un clear mos a chaque mauvais réglages dans le bios , et surtout le prix exorbitant !!

Adica minusuri la ea ar fi overclocking limitat la RAM,vdroop la Quad-uri,un suierat la CPU in load...
Avand in vedere aceste defecte/limitari si aparitia tarzie la un pret piperat,chiar daca layout si bundle-ul sunt f. ingrijite,inclin sa fiu de acord cu francezii ca aceasta placa nu merita banii,mai ales daca nu aveti rabdarea sa vedeti-posibil,nu garantat!-disparand aceste defecte printr-un BIOS ulterior...

Din previewul Gigabyte reiese ca X38 are suport pt FSB 1600 MHz,deci in 2008 se va intampla cu Penryn acelasi lucru cu C2D acum...va exista al II-lea val cu FSB marit...
X38 are optiuni mai mari de upgrade(decat P35),nu numai la proc,ci si la placi video...suporta PCI Express 2.0 ...
