China's internal consumption growth is more than "substantial". The retail has been keeping double-digit growth all times in China. Just to give you some number, currently, China has five shopping malls that are larger than the largest mall in USA.

China is not only investing in cost-saving technology, but also investing in many future technologies and lead world in the field, such as pebble nuclear reactor technology, tokamak nuclear fusion reactor (which will lead the world for ten years before inernational tokamak is built in France in 2016), nanotube and other nanotechnologies, etc.
