2. Installation
===============

Before installing Heroes of Might & Magic V, please verify that your computer meets the minimum requirements. Close all other programs.

1. Place game installation disc into disc drive (or double click on disc drive icon), and wait for autorun program to launch, then choose 'Install' button on autorun screen. Also you may do it by performing following instructions:

"My Computer" -> right click on you disc drive icon -> choose 'Open' in floating menu -> run Setup.exe;

or:

use Windows "Start" button -> "Run..." -> enter in command line "disc drive letter:\setup" -> press 'OK' button.

2. Choose your language.

3. Following install shield instructions.

DirectX 9.0c must be installed.

Upon installation you can run game either from windows start menu ('Start' -> 'All Programs' -> 'Ubisoft' -> 'Heroes of Might and Magic V' -> 'Heroes
of Might and Magic V') or use 'Heroes.exe' file from the game installation directory (By default, the game will be installed into
"C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V").

4. Game Saves
=============

Saved games are stored in a special folder within the current user's "My Documents" folder. This folder can be found by following path:
"My Documents" -> "My Games" -> "Heroes of Might and Magic V" -> "Profiles" -> folder with user profile name -> "Saves".

5. Troubleshooting
==================

5.1 Outdated or incorrect video drivers may cause some issues. Before contacting support, please check you have the latest versions of video drivers and
correct DirectX 9.0c version for you system. Lastest version drivers you may take at:

DirectX 9.0c version may be found on the game installation disc.

5.2 Also, before launching the game, make sure what no other programs are running.

5.3 The game does not support playing through http proxy. The player needs direct (real IP) or NATed (most intranets) internet connection. In case of
firewall the player needs to open some ports. Here are they:

6668 TCP (IRC servers(chat in lobby))
40000 to 42999 TCP (Various Ubi.com servers)
44000 UDP (CDKey servers)
45000 UDP (NAT server)
42500 UDP ( CDKey local port, can be configured by player through game config files, "setvar net_ubi_cdkey_port = ", defaults to 42500)
8888,8889 UDP UDP (The Game itself, can be configured by player through game config files, "setvar net_game_port = " defaults to 8888; "setvar net_lan_match_maker_port = ", defaults to 8889 )

5.4 To read the game manual you need Adobe Acrobat Reader. There are two english versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader available on the disk in "Extras\Adobe\" : for Win2k, and for WinXP. You can download other versions from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

6. Known issues
===============

Video

Switched off 'V-Sync' option in your video driver options may cause twitched animations in Town if you rotate camera manually.

Jucat prima misiune, ca nu mai pot de somn.. Se pare ca este versiunea 0.9 a jocului, buguri destule inca existente, umbre care raman aiurea pe teren.. Cred ca mai sunt multe de rezolvat printr-un viitor patch, asta tot mi se pare a pre-release, in fine..Demoul mi-a placut..Imi place si asta, acum sa il iau la jucat calumea sa vad ce e de capul lui, cum este povestea..

e 1.0 final, 0.9 era exe-ul din demo (si da avea problemele astea cu umbrele) vezi cu reloaded ca scapi de probleme

Merge super. Prima mare bila neagra. Doar 6 nivele custom game de single player. Random map generator lipsa. Mare bila neagra.

Macar daca nu e random map. macar sa fi facut multe harti. Ca sa nu mai vb ca nici nu poti juca aceeasi harta din ipostaze diferite cum era in h4. Ii scade rau rejucabilitatea astfel. Il termin in 2-3 sapt si dupa aia ce fac? somez?

Offf.... Unii nu invata nimic din greselile din trecut.

Pai cum naiba sa nu pui editor de harti sau generator de nivele... Inexistenta lor a fost una dintre pietrele imense de moara legate la gatul lui Heroes IV , care l-au "scufundat" rapid.

Si acuma si aici , aceleasi lipsuri ? Eu nu ii pot intelege , pe cuvint.

Aia chiar nu vor ca jocul lor sa aiba succes 100% ?

am impresia ca map generator o sa apara odata cu primul addon.. poate chiar si castelul de barbari.. cine stie. important este ca arata destul de bine.. probabil vor pune si niste harti la dld in curand

ma lamureste si pe mine cineva daca se pot pune salvarile de la demo in asta ?

nu am reusit neam.. si chiar nu am chef sa le rejoc

Pai asa au facut si la H IV , suportul multiplayer , generatorul de harti l-au bagat mai tarziu.
Insa deja era prea tarziu , neavand asa ceva din prima deja luase reviewuri negative la greu , comunitatea se inflamase si jocul prin urmare se dusese pe rapa.

Nu vad de ce repeta aceleasi greseli.

poate cand il lanseaza oficial o sa existe si ceea ce duceti voi lipsa...
sau cum se poarta mai nou dupa 2-3 zile apare patch v1.1

Stai calm. Asta va fi oficialul. Fac pariu cu tine pe cat vrei.
In alta ordine de idei: penal AI-ul. La fel ca la h4 imparte armata in multi eroi si o ia pe coaja. Pe hard parca triseaza ceva-ceva.
Nu exista nici o posibilitate sa transport armata intre 2 orase decat cu alt erou. Penibil. Puteau sa lase caravanele. Sau o modalitate ceva.

Cand v-am zis ca petitia aia e un rahat in ploaie ca jocul final tot cu lipsuri va fi ati ras de mine. Uite ca acum am dreptate, tot ce lipsea (important) lipseste si acuma chit ca l-au amanat 2 luni.

Deci,dati show multyplayer maps si o sa vedeti o gramada de harti,asa era si la beta,oricum eu am mai jucat jocul de cand era in beta,si vad putine schimbari fata de versiunea aia de atunci,si oricum jocul e mult schimbat fata de versiunile anterioare,ma declar dezamagit

Am vazut alea. Dar sunt de multiplayer. Probabil merg si in single. Dar asta nu ii scuza. A si sa nu uit. Where the .... is autosave? E primul heroes fara autosave. Alta data cand mai aud de tot felul de petitii din astea penale cu rezultat final zero o sa le rad in nas celor care le semneaza.
