Am shi eu o enigma.. Cum se traduc numele unor creaturi din heroes in romana (ex behemont, sprite, elf, venom spawn , wraith, dread knight) shi daca exista in mitologia romana echivalente.

La fel si Lord of the Rings, nu?

Gargoyle: The gargoyle often makes his perch On a cathedral or a church Where, mid eclesiastic style He smiles an early Gothic smile Oliver Herford Welcome. Your are about to meet a peculiar race of creatures which inhabited the great cathedrals of the Middle Ages, proliferating between the 11th and 13th centuries. Some of their decendants have ventured away from churches, migrating to other important buildings, but they have not fared as well as those still comfortably situated in cathedral walls. If you look up you may see one now and then... A Gargoyle is a grotesquely carved human or animal figure found on an architectural structure, originally designed (believe it or not) to serve as a spout to throw rainwater clear of a building. They later became strictly ornamental and assumed many forms. The original purpose of a gargoyle was to drain water away from the sides of a building. The word comes from the French "gargouille" which means "throat or pipe." This idea originated long ago, as samples of gargoyles have been found from ancient Greece.Strictly speaking, "gargoyle" refers only to these long-necked devices, but common usage refers to any grotesque sculpture used to decorate medieval churches.not all gargoyles were for religious instruction. Some were simply grotesque. One reason for this is the belief that frightening figures could scare away evil spirits, and they were put on the outsides of buildings to do just that.

Cerber(us) Cerberus was a vicious beast that guarded the entrance to Hades and kept the living from entering the world of the dead. According to Apollodorus, Cerberus was a strange mixture of creatures: he had three heads of wild dogs, a dragon or serpent for a tail, and heads of snakes all over his back. Hesiod, though, says that Cerberus had fifty heads and devoured raw flesh. Cerberus' parents were the monster Echinda (half-woman, half-serpent) and Typhon (a fire-breathing giant covered with dragons and serpents).
