| Registered User Join Date: Jan 2007 | Rambo 4 imdb board ripoff- Last night, I caught a press screening at the Arclight here in Hollywood. These screenings, attended by jaded critics, tend to mostly be silent, stone-faced affairs. With RAMBO, however, this wasn't the case, as there were several points where even the most hardened journalists erupted into whooping cheers. This. Movie. F-ing. Rocks. It's a lean, mean creation that rockets into hyperbolic intensity at the midway point and then never lets up. The action is gritty and bloody as hell -- leaning much more toward the realm of realism than the Hollywood excesses of RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART 2 or RAMBO III. Stallone is a pure engine of destruction (he has maybe 20 lines of dialogue throughout) here; when he gets going, he's like a Sherman tank, turning people into hamburger. While the character is still iconic, Stallone manages to embrace much of the humanity that the character has been lacking since the first film. He also smartly strays from the over-the-top "one man army" shtick and supplies Rambo with a cadre of expert mercenaries. As for action, the violence in this thing hurts; it's brutal and hardcore -- I'm frankly amazed that it got by with merely an R-rating. There are rapes, mutilations, torture and a veritable ton of flying limbs -- much of it is shot with handheld cameras to lend immediacy to the proceedings, but it never falls prey to the annoying shaky-cam syndrome that has plagued other recent films. This is precisely the antidote to all the ADD-addled, Michael Bay action-by-numbers garbage we've been subjected to in recent years. It's the kind of sequel I wanted to get with LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD and didn't. In short, it's everything the return of Rambo should be and is the most fun I've had in a theater in ages. Asta a inebunit, dupa ce a facut Rocky si facea efectiv misto de el ... acuma incearca Rambo 4? Era o faza in Rocky Balboa acuma: "You were the champ somewhere in the 80'es?" si el raspunde calm "Nope, I think it was the 70'es" .... m-a amuzat copios E fun ... intra in categoria Die Hard 4

Ultimul Rocky a fost un film destul de ok, asa cred ca va fi si "John Rambo". Filmele astea doua sunt cantecul de lebada al celor 2 serii care l-au consacrat pe Stallone si poate chiar al carierei sale de actor. Cred ca omul vrea sa se retraga in stil mare si sa incheie seriile cu niste filme bune spre deosebire de Rambo 3 si Rocky 5 care au fost gunoaie.

Pai nu ti-l baga nimeni pe gat. Rocky Balboa a luat nota 7,5, din vreo 40.000 de voturi, pe imdb care vrem nu vrem e un etalon destul de bun si foarte folosit. Mizerii sunt filmele de luni-joi de pe Pro TV.

Excelent film, din anume puncte de vedere doar: - enorm de mult sange, picioare si maini zburand in toate directiile mai rau ca in 300 - cafteala finala intre eroi e f scurta dar cuprinzatoare - folosirea unui numar generos de gloante .50 BMG, inclusiv in prima aparitie notabila (cea din Shooter a fost de scurta durata) a M82A1 SASR, o excelenta pusca cu luneta ce face inutila prezenta oricarui bodyguard, ar fi eficienta in eliminarea coruptiei din Romania si bagarea in sperieti a oricarui amator de show-off O greseala de neiertat este numarul mare de focuri consecutive pe care le efectueaza lunetistul (fara casti de protectie), avand in vedere ca in real life cei mai experimentati au probleme de ameteala dupa 10-12 focuri. De asemenea, omul elimina noaptea cateva garzi cu ea fara a fi auzit... In rest filmul e un caca rece.

l-am vazut si eu aseara- a fost foarte ok, cu toate ca ma asteptam la mai multa actiune(fiind obisnuit cu seriile precedente)- nu exista elicoptere, tancuri, rambo nu se lupta corp la corp cu nimeni, nu mai pune capcane prin padure ca in first blood, nu se mai coase/repara/lipeste. Tot ce face- e o explozie gigantica, o scurta misiune stealth, trage cu arcul iar la final omoara cateva sute de oameni din spatele unei mitraliere. Oricum, e bine ca de data asta e o munca de echipa, dat fiind ca e ajutat de mercenari,. Visualurile sunt super ok si am simtit moodul filmelor de actiune ale anilor 80- iar din ce am citit pe imdb- daca iese bine cu incasarile o sa faca si partea a 5-ea.

Sa dau si eu cu subsemnatu despre film: Scurt si violent.. m-a uns pe suflet vazand cum zburau main/picioare si jumatati de galbejiti in toate directiile. Rambo e un fel de serious sam al filmelor, o poveste cvasi-inexistenta, inamicii malefici, 3-4 mercenari aruncati pe langa el precum un pistol cu apa pe langa un lansator de rachete si 10 minute de foc continuu.... genial, e exact ce trebuie sa fie un Rambo.
