| Registered User  Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Bucureşti | Singurele avantaje care le vad la Quake Live sunt cerintele foarte mici de sistem si in primul rand usurinta de a face "rost" de el. Va fi probabil acelasi joc ca Quake 3 cu imbunatatiri minore. In primele 3 luni o sa fie asaltat de noobi din toate colturile tarii, care in urma batailor repetate care le vor primii vor renunta intr-un final si se vor intreba ca de ce nu moare adversarul asa de repede ca la cauntar. Poate ca din aceea 100 de insi 10-20 il vor juca si dupa 6 luni de la aparitie. Cam asa a stat treaba cu toate Quake-urile si Unrealurile, nu multi au rabdarea sa joace 2-3 ani pentru a ajunge la un nivel acceptabil. In mare parte Quake3 si Romania sunt doua lucruri paralele, poate ca s-or mai strange 15-20 de jucatori in plus pe langa cei activi de acum insa nu o sa vedem serverele FFA pline de nubi deoarece seria Quake nu s-a adresat niciodata pentru tipicul cocalar modern. Ma intreb oare daca veteranii de la Quake 3 din toate colturile lumii vor face trecerea pe Live.

Unit8472: evident ca id software a luat in calcul asa ceva si au luat masuri sa nu le afecteze modelul de business (free ad supported game). Quake Live o sa aiba un sistem de matchmaking foarte bun gen Battlenet, dezvoltat de un developer extern care se ocupa cu asemenea sisteme. nu o sa joci cu adversari cu mult mai buni decat tine, decat accidental poate sau in mod explicit. din pacate inca nu dau semne si pe alte fronturi ca ar intelege ce-si doreste publicul larg. multi am propus ca mod-ul default de joc sa fie ceva round based in care te spawnezi deja cu arme gen Clan Arena, Rocket Arena. FFA este uber boring si spammy, plus ca se moare repede si n00bii n-or sa inteleaga mare lucru cand vin de la jocuri statice fara item-uri pe harta gen COD, CS etc.

Pentru noi romanii, singurele tari unde putem juca in conditii acceptabile sunt Ungaria, Moldova, Slovacia unde pingul se pastreaza sub 30. asadar sistemul lor e full of fail in ceea ce priveste pingul, iar clientul tot nu o sa se compara cu IRC-ul.

Join Date: Dec 2000 Location: across ARCADES this SUMMER! | o sa fie pe zone geografice cu servere recomandate pentru fiecare ping-ul nu e o problema pentru mine... ping 35 in Germania, 45 in NL, 65 in UK si netcode-ul e decent oricum.. nu cred ca organizarea o sa fie o problema, ci jocul in sine care e prea neatractiv pentru pustimea de azi obisnuita cu "tacticool" shooters.
