Nu stiu daca sunt doar vorbe sau realitate. Acesti virusi fac stricaciuni fizice? Antivirusii din ziua de azi te apara sau e doar vorba de noroc? Am un amic care sustine ca un virus i-a facut hdd-ul sa nu mai mearga deloc. (il recunoaste dar nu mai are spatiu pe el)

Nu prea cred ca se poate strica fizic din soft un hard. Exista virusi care stricau monitoarele (cu o frecventa mult peste cea suportata de monitor); care stricau placa de baza (goleau biosul, virusul Cernobil); si posibil alte echipamente pot fi afectate fizic de soft. De harddisk stricat fizic nu a auzit inca. Cat despre prietenul tau, putea sa dea un low level format si cred ca se rezolva. Daca declari toate sectoarele bad, normal ca nu mai ai spatiu pe hard, ceea ce s-a intamplat probabil. Sau o partitie busita mai degraba. | ||

Daca prin low level format intelegi netezirea platanelor cu un polizor atunci da, poate fi oarecum distrugtor.

Nu se poate face low level format sub NT pt ca nu esti lasat sa accesezi hardware-ul la nivel direct. Cat despre scrierea pe HDD in prostie, well, ar fi un virus al dracu de lent. Sunt harduri care rasnesc non-stop de ani de zile si nu crapa.

pigbrother, hmm, eu cred ca s-ar putea face, dar specific fiecarui model de hdd, adica daca poti determina ca acel cap de citire sa parseze hdd-ul dupa un patern in asha fel incat sa intre in rezonanta ...  .

PB, 3.5 mega ocupa documentatia si accesoriile inutile (baza de date) 512K ar fi cei reali necesari

va dau paste din descrierea programului(din motive etice nu va pot spune cum se numeste): The ***************** series of programs offer one the ability to fully and permanently destroy all data on any given Dos or Win3.x/9x/NT/2000 based system. In other words, 90% of the computers world wide. The program, once executed, will start eating up the hard drive, and/or infect and reboot the hard drive within a few seconds. After rebooting, all hard drives attached to the system would be formatted (in an unrecoverable manner) within only 1 to 2 seconds, irregardless of the size of the hard drive. The program has reported to have caused physical damage to some hard drives (on many occasions). Terminati cu tampeniile, nici un producator de antivirusi nu are in daza lor de date vreo descriere a unui virus care sa faca asa ceva. So cut the crap. Pana si singurul distrugator de hardware, CIH, a mers putin si doar pe cateva placi de baza. Nu exista soft care sa distruga HDD-uri, exista daor HDD-uri de rahat. Asa si Squid e distrugator de HDD-uri.
