Am un HDD Maxtor de 120 GB care nu mai vrea sa boot-eze. Vreau sa instalez win xp, copiaza el ce copiaza la inceput dau restart si.... "please insert boot disk..." bla bla bla. Am umblat si in BIOS, nimic. Am gasit o rabla de Maxtor la 6 GB pe care am instalat win-ul. Chestia e ca as vrea sa scap de el pana imi iau HDD nou si vrea sa stiu daca se poate sa dau boot de pe un CD. Pur si simplu doar boot (n-am floppy). Sa instalez win-ul pe HDD mare care nu booteaza si de cate ori aprind calculatorul sa am CD-ul si sa boot-ez de pe el.

chiar nu m-am uitat. Da' stiu ca mai am 110 GB din 120. Am facut-o asa pt ca nu stiu cati MB sunt stricati la inceputul HDD-ului. Are bad-uri cred. Da chiar si asa... cum fac un CD de boot?

acum da. HDD-ul meu vechi de 120 GB (acum 110 GB) (ideea era ca avea ceva probleme cu master boot or somethin') si cel care am facut rost de el de 6 GB pe care am win-ul, da' care se misca ca un rahat (5600 rpm cred). La instalare am dat format si pe FAT32 si pe NTFS si nimic. Din cat am reusit si eu sa citesc de pe net, cica problema ar fi de la "master boot" (wtf??), adica acele cateva clustere de la inceputul HDD-ul necesare pt bootare, probabil stricate acum. Acum vin sarbatorile si nu prea imi arde mie de calculatoare' (d-aia nu imi cumpar HDD nou) da as vrea sa se miste ceva mai bine, nu sa cârâie in continuu si sa se miste de 2 lei. Asa ca 1 luna de zile as fi multumit daca as afla daca si cum se poate face un CD de boot. Acele cateva chestii necesare pt boot si atat.

Ma indoiesc ca un virus ti-a afectat placa de baza. Poate s-a imbolnavit de la altceva. In legatura cu CD-ul de boot nu prea mi-e limpede: vrei sa bootezi de pe un device extern (cd, floppy, stick) si sa rulezi windowsul de pe hdd? | ||

exact. Sa am win-ul instalat pe HDD-ul de 120 si sa boot-ez de pe un CD. Sa nu imi mai zica "No boot device found please insert boot disk....bla bla bla" Asa face cand vreau sa instalez win-ul. Copiaza la inceput acolo (unde are imaginea albastra) si cand isi da restart nu vrea sa boot-eze.

Am intrat in Partion magic si am vrut sa incerc din nou sa instalez win-ul. Am vrut sa creez o partitie de 10 GB pe care sa instalez win-ul (ca sa nu pierd tot). Am creat un spatiu liber nealocat de 10 GB dupa care am vrut sa creez partitia si am primit urmatoarele mesaje. Partitia am pus pe primary. In primul caz cand partitia trecea de 9 GB cica n-ar fi bootabila si in al doilea caz cand era mai mica de 9 Gb ( am pus 8) nu imi mai aparea mesaju cu "may not be bootable). Vedeti imaginile si sa-mi spuneti si mie ce inseamna mesajul ala cu 1024 cylinder
