OEM - sistemul OEM (original equipment manufacturer) este folosit de mai toate firmele mari la software (in special) si hardware. Un produs software OEM (windows in acest caz) poate fi achizitionat in regim preinstalat (de ex. calc cu windows preinstalat, licenta valabila numai pe acel sistem) sau in regim System Builder.Licentierea este diferita fata de pachetele Retail.
