de ce sa ne potolim? e rau sa inveti ceva nou ? i'ote ce-am gasit: Install Personal Edition to a real partition Frustrated by the size of the 500MB partition size limitation in BeOS 5 Personal Edtion? There are several ways to overcome it and get PE onto a full size partition. The easiest way is probably to create a BeOS installation CD out of the raw image.be file. If you don't have a CD burner, read on. First of all, you'll need a blank partition somewhere on your system. This could be an empty D: drive, for example, or blank space you've created with fdisk or PartitionMagic or Be's own DriveSetup. Make sure this partition is at least 2*AmountOfRAM+200MBs. Install PE normally, from within Windows. Then boot into BeOS and launch the Installer application. Installer has the amazing ability to install BeOS from any existing BeOS installation to any blank BFS partition. Use the Installer's options to select the From: volume (your Personal Edition installation) and To: volume (your blank partition). Allow the Installer to initialize the volume with a block size of 1024 (remember, this will destroy all data on the partition!) and let 'er rip. A few minutes later, you'll have two complete BeOS installations. Now you'll want to give yourself a boot menu, so you can select an operating system at boot time rather than going through Windows. Installer should offer to install Bootman when installation is done -- this is highly recommended for easiest booting. See also Install bootman after the fact . Once you're sure everything is safely up and running, you can even uninstall PE from within Windows, and your full size partition will still run just fine. | ||

Leap Atack, la firma vostra de modem-uri de cablu, modem-uri profesionale, swich-uri si alte chestii profesionale pentru integratori si ISP-uri banuiesc ca te platesc destul de bine. Atata timp cat n-ai drivere, nu ai programe, nu te platesc, eu consider pierdere de timp orice aprofundare a programului, e bine sa stii informativ, sunt de acord, mai mult NU. Am instalat si eu versiunea de Windows de pe un chip, mi-am facut nervi vreo 6 ore incercand sa gasesc niste drivere pentru placa video, care era un obisnuita, un Savage 4 3D, sa pot sa-mi pun si eu refresh-ul cat de cat mai sus sa nu trec direct pe la Optinova dupa orele de birou, n-am putut. Pe 64MB RAM mergea in reluare, aplicatii n-avea. Cam asta, sunt atatea... Greeets, Speedo | ||

Am pus shi yo aku vreo 5 luni BeOS pe kalku meu shi l-am shters in 2 ore... nu prea aveam ce sa fak in el!!!! adik : sunet - out of the box modem - out of the box video - out of the box singura kestie a fost sa-l instalez in alta partitzie and that was 2 easy anyway.. interfatza is kinda krappy.. am dat un search pe astalavista shi mi-a gasit undeva zicea k e full... dar linku era kinda dead... so.. anyway... beos5p.exe asta era numele fishierului (P poate vine de la proffesional shi nu de la personal  )

REDMAN, aplicatii destule , poti sa spui asta daca ar fi macar jumate din cele pentru Linux, asa fata de windows, poti sa spui ca nici nu exista. Degeaba ai tu V3, ca eu cu S3 n-am putut seta refresh-ul. Asta este, eu am alta parere, time is money. Greets, Speedo | ||

Speedo, eu am ramas socat cand pe un amarat de Pentium200MMX cu 32 de mega de RAM am putut rula simultan 3 filme in format .avi In timp ce rula un film, puteam misca fereastra cu mousul , iar in fereastra filmul rula in continuare, cursiv si fara balbe. Testul suprem a fost cand am copiat si un fisier de pe CDROM pe HDD, in timp ce rulau cele 3 filme. BeOS este dedicat pt multimedia, iar aplicatii se gasesc, cu ceva rabdare si putina intelegere. Cand o sa am si ceva timp liber, am sa sap si dupa driverele pt placa ta ;-) | ||

Am downloadat iso-ul de la utcluj, l-am ars pe un cd.. am facut partitia de beos si.. nu vrea sa imi booteze de pe cd  zice please place your beos cd into your cdrom drive. Sa fi avut cdul original protectii si astia l-au pus pe ftp d'am boulea?
