Astia de la MS spuneau ca subscriberii MSDN pot da jos RC-ul. Ei bine, nu e pe subscriere... o fi pe torrente?  Ce BUILD este RC-ul?

Build-ul 7106 nu este ceea ce credeti. Este doar o ramura a build-ului 7076. 7077 este "ultima" si oarecum finala... The Windows 7 that you see on shelves at the end of the year will look and function exactly as it does in build 7077. . The build is 7100 and carries the build tag 7100.0.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700. Windows 7 brings many new features, compatibility improvements and speed improvements over that of Windows Vista. Expect to see an announcement from Microsoft about the RC of Windows 7 on May 5th, with a public release somewhere around the 9th.

Broblem; imi crapa explorerul (in special my computer) la modul aleator. Cateodata, cand deschid my computer (dar nu numai, poate fi orice fereastra) fereastra imi ramane goala ca si cum ar cauta un device/drive/etc, in bara de adrese imi apare bara aia verde de progres (suna ca dracu stiu  ) si nu se intampla nimic.Inchid fereastra si daca incerc dupa aia sa deschid orice fereastra, e la fel. Inchid procesul explorer, il pornesc din nou cu acelasi efect. Dau shutdown, nu se intampl nimic. Singura mea banuiala e legat de clonedrive (parca asa ii zice). Am win7 pe x64, build-ul original beta de pe site la microsoft.

pe mine ma enerveaza ca nu pot sa pun toolbarul cu mycomputer sus ... inainte luam cu drag & drop icoana de la my computer dadeam cu ea in partea de sus si imi aparea toolbaru ala cu care intram usor in C, D,...etc ...la 7 nu mai merge si nu suport deloc chestia asta am bagat vista la loc

A aparut 7100 Ultimate atat X86 cat si X64. Deci pana la urma asta este buildul oficial RC care va fi distribuit punlicului larg la inceputul lunii Mai.

Daca tot apare/a aparut RC-ul, n-ar trebui sa inceapa sa mearga cu mai toate aplicatiile, printre care si Daemon Tools? A incercat cineva 7100 aparut azi? Nu de alta dar in aproximativ 30 de minute o sa-l vâr io  | ||

Aspecte inedite referitoare la Windows 7: "Researchers Vipin Kumar and Nitin Kumar have demonstrated proof-of-concept code that the pair developed called VBootkit 2.0. The software injects code into the Windows machine during boot up and allows the complete takeover of the machine and access to all files on the system. Vipin Kumar said, "There's no fix for this. It cannot be fixed. It's a design problem." The latest version of the software allows the attacker to increase their user privileges up to the system level and they can remove a user's password giving access to all of the user's files. pigbrother ... pai tot nu vad logica .Adica trebuie un virus care sa infecteze zona de boot, sa downloadeze ditamai programul, sa apeleze programul astora in secventa de boot - nu am inteles exact cand se face injectarea - daca e necesara bootarea de pe alt device cu un bootloader al astora iti dai seama ca devine si mai complicat ... sa dea unui anume user toate drepturile si apoi sa permita accessul remote a userului, bashca sa trimita un mail userului pentru a-l anunta ca are access ... apoi sa stearga urmele. Mmm, cam complicat pentru un simplu virus. Nu zic ca e imposibil, dar cam prea complicat.

Nimic nu este prea complicat cand obtii profit din asta, ASOM. Acum vreo cateva luni m-am intalnit cu o jivina care folosea un exploit Flash pentru a descarca un troian care avea o baza de date cu caile de acces si parolele default pentru unele routere uzuale. Modifica DNS-urile de pe router, dupa care se stergea singur. Un DI-524 a furat-o asa si m-am chinuit juma de ora sa vad cine naiba face redir.
