Daca exista cineva care face ASF-uri din Avi sau Mpeg via AVi ce bandwitch foloseste ? Eu folosesc intre 200 si 500 kb/s si se vede perfect. Exista vreun program care face direct conversia MPEG ---> ASF ?

Dar invers? adica ASF->AVI Mpeg4? Nu inteleg de ce s-ar mai chinui cineva cu asf-ul acum cind mpeg4 e de citeva ori mai bun si la compresie si la calitate si suporta si internet...

Bei, ASF sau MPEG4 e acelasi lucru (amandoua sunt ale lui Microsoft). ASF = Advanced Stream Format si poate si sau MPEG4 sau Indeo 5.10. Mpeg e MPEG2. Din cate stiu eu nu exista un prog care sa faca direct conversia MPG -> ASF, ci doar trecand prin AVI necomprimat. ------------------ "So speaks the lord of Terror, And so it is written!"

MPEG4 e codec. Codec care se poate folosi pe sistemul vfw. ASF si AVI sint formate de film care folosesc diferite codec-uri audio/video. Indeo5 nu are nici o legatura cu nici un mpeg (1, 2, 3, 4 sau care vreti voi). Lumea o sa se chinuie cu ASF pentru ca prietenii calculatoristilor (specialistii de la MS, that is) au hotarit ca MPEG4 sa fie doar codec pentru "advanced streaming format" si nu si pentru avi. Noile versiuni de mp4c32.dll (3866+ parca) refuza sa encodeze avi-uri folosind MPG4, MP42 si MP43. A, ca se poate folosi un .dll de la versiunea beta de wmtools -- asta e alta treaba. | ||

Standardul Mpeg de compresie nu e a lui Microsoft. Moving Picture Experts Group are site-ul oficial aici:http://drogo.cselt.stet.it/mpeg/ Fisierele .avi compresate in standardul Mpeg4 pot fi convertite in formatul .asf insa acesta din urma nu mai poate fi citit ca un fisier compresat mpeg4 ci ca unul asf...

Da, am observt ca versiunea finala de Windows Media Encoder are niste ciudatenii pe care beta nu le are. Cum fac eu ASF ? Din MPEG1 convertesc in AVI (codec MPEG4 versiunea 3 ca sa ocupe spatiu mai putin) dureaza 1h pentru 30 minute de film MPEG1 iar apoi convertesc AVI in ASF, 1h pentru 1h. Pe Celeron 541 Mhz.
