(sau "despre Outlook, primul backdoor comercial de succes") Daca pina acum Outlook si-a tot aratat hiper-securitatea, cu cite o vulnerabilitate pe saptamina (sa ne amintim de ILoveYou), de data asta chiar si-a dat in petec: buffer overflow in rutina care parsuieste data. Exploitu e banal de scris, si inca si mai banal de downloadit (beware script kiddies!), si consta in faptul ca poti face orice cu calculatorul victimei, daca ala CITESTE mesajul! Nu e vorba de deschis atasamente si alte procarii, ci pur si simplu de apasat pe mesaj. Horrible. Sa ne gindim un pic: cit va dura pina ce va aparea un virus care sa foloseasca asta? Oricine care are acces la net si cunostinte minime de programare in winbloze poate sa-l scrie in 30 de minute. Asa ca... In plus, va aparea un patch, insa am vaga senzatie ca n-o sa-l instaleze aproape nimeni. Credeti ca patchul de ILoveYou l-a instalat cineva?... Corect, alta gaura nashpa. Lol.. tocmai a venit pe mail: Microsoft Security Bulletin (MS00-043) [...] Under certain conditions {i.e. cind iti citesti mailu de fiecare zi, ca omu - n.r. ), the vulnerability could allow a malicious user to cause code of his choice to execute on another user's computer[...][...]- If the affected field were filled with carefully-crafted data, the e-mail client could be made to run code of the malicious user's choice[...] Hmm.. minor bug.. just fixed... don't even bother to install the patch...
