Am incercat si eu asta: seta image_cacheMegs "32" si am pus pe 128. La mine insa era pe 20.

As fi curios insa ce inseamna cu exactitate... pentru ca pare sa curga ceva mai fluent dar nimic foarte spectaculos. Ce face mareste memoria cache a placii video ? ? eu am pus 128 ca 128 am pe ea... altfel merge mai mult ? cache-eaza mai bine ?

image_usecache ? what iz this

si pana la urma a incercat cineva cu dez-arhivarea pk-urilor sau despre ce era vorba

Mda, incercat un pic. Feeling are, dar e la fel de fad ca majoritatea FPS-urilor si cu acelasi story de kkt (so far): toti mor, auzi in casti cum se bat aia ca chiorii, dar sa dea dreaqu daca dai si tu peste vreunu' viu sa faceti un hunting party...

Grafic vorbind, mi se pare... o evolutie normala. Cam departe de ce s-a promis. Iar texturile pe alocuri mi se par chiar de kkt sincer sa fiu. Mult mai slab detaliate ca in ut2004 de exemplu (ca ala de aia avea 6 cd-uri ).

Avea 6 cd-uri pt ca (,) continea tot ut2003-ul (harti&texturi&stuff), nu din cauza texturilor detaliate...

Si pun pariu ca nu era o problema sa puna texturi hi-res cu bump aplicat si ce vreti voi, dar at. chiar ca nu ar mai fi mers pe nimic in afara de 6800...Asa, de bine de rau, vad ca-l joaca toata lumea.

Eu zic ca va lamentati prea mult si tradati faptul ca nu v-ati jucat Doom 1 sau 2 prea mult. Jocul e facut ca o continuare de Doom 2 cu grafica mai misto, cu monstri mai scary, cu engine mai bun, cu fizica impecabila si cu mai mult feeling. Nu se vrea nimic mai mult. Dovada faptul ca monstrii sunt in mare parte reeditari ai celor din D00m2, la fel stilul de organizare al nivelelor, la fel armele. Este o continuare mai mult decat reusita.

Eu joc pe high detail, apoi selectat 640x480 , compresat texturile normale si am setat anisotropic pe 2 in loc de 8 cat era de la ei. Am catalyst 4.9 beta. Am schimbat image_cachemegs din 20 in 128 si apoi in 0... nici o diferenta, chiar nici una, am incercat si pe 800x600, aceleasi rezultate. Am schimbat image_usecache din 0 in 1 si crapa jocul cand e sa intre intr-un nivel. Any other tricks?

My doom3 system: tbred b la 2170mhz, 512ddr pc2700 si radeon 9500 256 biti mem, freq 400/580. Cu timedemo demo1.demo am 40fps la a 2-a rulare.

seta image_cacheMegs era 20. Am pus 128 si am dat un timedemo (timedemo demo1.demo). Mi-a redus scorul aproape la jumatate(de la 56 la 33 in 1600*1200 pe High Detail). dunno why. L-am pus 20 si si-a revenit.

nu am incercat alte valori....de fapt si chestia asta am incercat-o de curiozitate.

unedited: 78 fps? v-sync e off si ma joc in 1600*1200 cu refresh 75 (deh..monitoru). wtf? anyway.....practic valoarea 78 apare doar in screenshot. cu ochiul liber vad 63. again...wtf?

seta image_cacheMegs "128" - merge f. bine la mine. a redus timpii de incarcare la quickload aproape la jumatate, plus ca jocul numai fragmenteaza in nici un moment.
setari : high quality, 1024x768, 8x ANISO, NOAA, NO Vertical Sync.
sistem : Shuttle AN35Ultra, 512Mb Dual Channel 5 2 2 2.5 , Barton 2600+, PowerColor 9800SE@PRO, Hdd Maxtor 120Gb 5400 rpm.
os : WinXP Pro, SP2, cu efecte vizuale pe best, memorie virtuala setata pe System Managed Size, ruleaza permanent in background Bitdefender Professional 7.1, Netlimiter, DuMeter,DaemonTools,Nvidia Mixer,VmWare.
