Eu am aflat detalii despre el la ~20 de ani de cand a fost lansat (in 1992, cand eram in US), Parlanentul European a inceput o investigatie abia cu 8 ani mai tarziu (decat am aflat eu), iar in 2001: "The US Government still refuses to admit that Echelon even exists."

Si abia in 2015 s-a confirmat oficial existenta programului:

"Two internal NSA newsletters from January 2011 and July 2012, published as part of the Snowden-revelations by the website The Intercept on 3 August 2015, for the first time confirmed that NSA used the codeword ECHELON and provided some details about the scope of the program."

"The unnamed CPU was able to recognize the train network of flowers at 4.8 FPS. As CEO Jensen pointed out, humans would not be able to recognize most of the distinct flowers while the CPU based system flawlessly recognized every single one.

Once Nvidia turned to Volta based Tensor RT 3 optimized compilers, it was able to accelerate the recognition to 500 to 550 FPS with the same accuracy."

New AI can guess whether you're gay or straight from a photograph

"The study from Stanford University – which found that a computer algorithm could correctly distinguish between gay and straight men 81% of the time, and 74% for women."
"Human judges performed much worse than the algorithm, accurately identifying orientation only 61% of the time for men and 54% for women. When the software reviewed five images per person, it was even more successful – 91% of the time with men and 83% with women."

"The tech giant, today, announced that Google Photos can now detect photos of your pets automatically and it will also group their pictures together. Just the way it recognizes human faces."
