We are pleased to announce that the qualifying season for the first Guild Wars World Championship will begin this week. In preparation, the Guild Wars Ladder will be reset at 12:00 am PDT (7:00 am GMT) on October 1 to start the first ladder season. This inaugural season will last three months and will culminate in regional playoffs among top-ranked guilds in each of America, Europe, and Korea, followed by the global Guild Wars World Championship, a live event to be held early next year. We'll be making a formal announcement on Thursday with further details. Prior to the October 1 ladder reset, we will be updating Guild Wars with a comprehensive set of skill balance changes to refresh the competitive landscape.

Mail de la Arena.net: "Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars customer support team. The location of the guild is controlled by the leader of the guild. When he changes disrict the guild moves as well. You will have to discuss this issue with the guild leader."

.. As European teams battle it out for the ultimate prize The final stages of the world's largest ever tournament of its kind are now underway as the Guild Wars international rankings are closed and the top 10 teams from each territory move into the penultimate stage. The best guilds from Europe, North America and Korea will fight it out this week to win a chance to play in the grand finals in February, when two teams from each territory will be flown out, all expenses paid, to Taipei, Taiwan to compete for a share of the $100,000 prize fund. The firm favourites from Europe are the Esoteric Warriors, a guild whose members hail from all across the continent, including English, French, German, Dutch, Austrian and Finnish players. Guilds from all over Europe - including Russia, Slovakia, Portugal among others - have also made it through to the finals. The European final will take place at 14:00 GMT on Saturday 14th January.

War Machine au castigat finala coreeana: http://www.guildwars.com/ How much time do you guys spend practicing together? Our practice time is from 1 PM to 7 PM and again from 8 PM to 3 AM. We basically practice all day everyday, except the time needed for eating and sleeping. What is the one mistake you see other guilds make the most? We think that actions in small battles do not contribute to the overall strategic war game. For this reason, users are weak in the "shake-off" (split team) strategy and prone to make more mistakes. What guild's performance has surprised you the most during the Regional Playoffs? Last Pride surprised us the most. They had a Warrior "shake-off" party, and they were very good with Hexes. When we faced this team, we began losing a lot of Health in a very short amount of time, and this put a lot of pressure on us. This was a build we did not want to fight again. What guild do you think is your biggest competitor heading into the World Championships in Taipei? We believe the highest rankers in Europe and the US are our biggest competitors. High rankers such as EP, EW, Te, and Val play in a different time zone, so we do not really know much about them and their battle style. For this reason, battles against them will come as a challenge for us.Do you see different play styles between guilds from different regions of the world? Yes, we believe so. Korean players think about both strength and strategic points in battles. For American and European users, we expect more heavily concentrated fire power from parties.
