If the latest gossip is to be believed, Scribblenauts is going to become a franchise, and it will do so as early as next year! Warner Bros. accidentally let slip its list of 2010 games, with Scribblenauts 2 revealed among them. Not only that, it will expand beyond the DS to include both a Wii and PC version as well. As well as Scribblenauts, the other big leak was F.E.A.R 3, the follow-up to the rather awesome F.E.A.R 2 that released earlier this year. Batman: The Brave and the Bold is also listed for DS and Wii, along with a bunch of licensed properties and silly casual titles that nobody cares about. Scribblenauts was a good game with a promising premise, let down by bad controls and shoddy physics. If a sequel could fix that, it may be excellent, but the overall gimmick will have lost its novelty value. It will be very interesting to see what, if anything, can be done in the sequel to make it worth a return trip. As for F.E.A.R 3, the last one impressed me enough to keep me moderately excited. What about you? Do these sequels sound like good ideas, or should Warner Bros. focus on something more original?

After 7 years of hard work, the creator of the "Out Of Hell" Mod for Unreal Tournament 2004 is finally done. He now released the final build of the modification which features hours of single-player action against zombies.

The whole world lies in ruins. Humanity is almost annihilated. Due to the high-level of radiation cities became unsuitable for living. But the remnants of the civilization gradually become just memories, spin with stories and turn into legends. ... The VDNH is the extremely populated northern metro station. It is the northern outpost of humanity and civilization. Here live some hundred of strong, friendly people, who treat the station as their sweet home. It was one of the best in metro while it was safe. But now the station is attacked by hordes of mysterious animals, descending from the top, named “DARKENS” by the citizens of VDNH. The citizens, for the moment, succeed in countering the offence, but it becomes more and more difficult. If the station is seized, the darken avalanche may overflow the whole metro. Artem, a young guy, who lives in VDNH, is given a task – to reach the heart of the metro, the legendary Polis, in order to warn all people about the terrible danger and to ask for help. In hands of one man appears the destiny of VDNH, the destiny of the whole metro, and may be, the destiny of the whole humanity…

We’ve been following this Ukrainian shooter since the first footage appeared a couple of years ago. Metro 2033 appears to be what THQ did after the split with GSC, and it has the same dark-future apocalypse vibes as Stalker. This time it’s set in a Moscow ravaged by monsters, with the survivors of the apocalypse hiding in the Russian capital’s epic metro system. It’s got a strong “Russian Fallout” whiff to it, which echoes what a 1c boss said to me last year about their love of the game. THQ’s blurb reads: “You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised Underground. Having never ventured beyond your Metro Station-City limits, one fateful event sparks a desperate mission to the heart of the Metro system, to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat. Your journey takes you from the forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to the desolate wastelands above, where your actions will determine the fate of mankind.
